Project: International Text-to-Speech corpus collecting
voice samples from different cultural groups
Recording Session:
1.
Reading English scripts handed
to candidate speakers well in advance for practice/preparation. Speakers with all extents of native accent
from non-English speaking ethnic groups are especially welcome.
2.
Recording session lasts
typically 90 minutes.
3.
Reward: NT$ 800.
4.
Eligibility: Legal foreign
residents, 20~60 years in age, of the following ethnic (geographic) groups (in
alphabetical order) — Filipino, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, and Thai.
Sign-up procedure:
1.
Send us your sample voice,
along with information regarding your name, age, sex, nationality, phone
number, by reading the following two sentences recorded with a recording APP or
directly through voice message (such as MSN):
1.
Call six nine eight six five
one four nine to join the conference
2.
I can't find the ruler in my
pencil case
2.
Upon receiving your voice
sample, the program manager will enroll, on first-come first-screened basis,
speakers who fit the aims of this project.
Admitted candidates will be informed in private.
3.
Send your voice sample to www.facebook.com/muscene.studio
4.
We will announce the filling up
of slots for each of the recuited ethnic (geographic) groups on our FB.
